  1. Biogram:

I am a graduate of the the Institute of English Studies at the University of Wrocław (Sociolinguistics and Theory of Translation) and Foreign Language Teachers Training College in Kalisz. I have taught English to all age groups and all proficiency levels. I started my teaching in a private language school in Wrocław (empik school), and then taught in a primary school in Kalisz. Since 2019 I have worked in then WSKiP (Higher School of Criminology and Penitentiary Science), now AWS (Academy of Justice) as a lecturer. Since October 2020 a Prison Service officer. 

  1. Research/scientific interests:

English language sensu largo has always been my passion. The link between language and mind/identity, how people verbalise their thoughts, and language and culture are my interests;  sociolinguistics and pragmatics are the areas which I am keen on. My MA paper was on second language acquisition.

  1. Passions:

I am a real petrolhead. Motor industry has always fascinated me. I also like films and serials. In addition to that, I play squash and ride a bike.
