- Dr hab., Prof. APS Maciej Tanaś, Dr. h.c. at Michał Kocciubiński Winnicki State Educational University in Ukraine – graduate of the elite course "Management of University - industry Partnerships" delivered by the International Institute for Educational Planning UNESCO and the European Center for Strategic Management of universities. In 2012-2019 he was the Dean of the Faculty of teaching Science at Maria Grzegorzewska Academy of Pedagogy in Warsaw, followed by the chairman of the Pedagogy Board. Head of the Didactics and Pedagogy Department of APS and chairman of the Nask Scientific College of experts.
- He is a member of many scientific associations and societies, including the Polish Academy of Sciences (head of the Pedagogy Section), the KNP Medal’s Capital “For Merit for the Development of Polish Pedagogy", the Polish Society for Education Technology and Media, the Polish Society for Scientific Education on the Internet, the Polish Educational Society and "Janusz Korczak" Polish Association.
- He was a representative of the Polish UNESCO Committee in Crete, Moscow and Seoul, and a member of the working group of the Warsaw University initiating and coordinating the project "Management and strategic planning with foreign partners: Università Bocconi in Milan, Business Centre Club Polska, Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, Catholic University of Leuven, University of Amsterdam and University of Crete” (1999-2002), as well as a member of the program Council of the Center for Open and Multimedia Education of Warsaw University (2001-2012). Head of the children's Security Team in cyberspace and was a social advisor to the Ombudsperson (2012-2018). He has been a consultant for many scientific and social projects, including: The European Community Pilot Project "terrorism - a threat to people and the Challenge for societies.Awareness raising and Preparation in Metropolitan Area" and a member of the Polish delegation to the European Union Conference “Citizens & Resilience" in the Hague.He was a promoter of 10 doctorates and a reviewer of many doctoral dissertations, the post-doctoral achievements and the nostrification processes.
- He was awarded: Krzyż Kawalerski Orderu Odrodzenia Polski, Odznaka za Zasługi dla Ochrony Praw Dziecka, Złoty Krzyż Zasługi, Grigoriy Skoworody Medal of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Złota Odznaka za Zasługi dla Sportu, Zasłużony Działacz Kultury Medal, Komisja Edukacji Narodowej Medal and Badge „Za ofiarność i bohaterstwo w ratowaniu życia ludzi i mienia w powodzi 2001”.
