- He graduated from Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń, where he worked for many years at the Faculty of pedagogical Sciences, also as head of the Department of Social Labour. He is currently employed at WSB University in Gdańsk. He participated in many national and foreign scientific conferences. He was the head or contractor of seven national and regional research projects. As a member of the team, he participated in four international research programs (Latvia, Germany, Slovakia, Scotland). He published more than one hundred scientific works. He is the author, co-author and editor of thirteen monographs. He participated in many national and foreign scientific conferences.

- Theoretical and practical aspects of professional social work, sense of security in the local environment, family support, socio-cultural aspects of labour migration, youth issues (attitudes toward marriage and family).
