„Interdisciplinary About Prison” is the latest monograph edited by Dr Jan Dezyderiusz Pol OFM.
The collective work was published by Episteme and the Academy of Justice in the framework of the project "Pilot penitentiary complexes" carried out under the Operational Program called "Justice" financed by Norwegian funds and national resources.
"This publication, which is multidisciplinary, is aimed at a broad audience. Prison as a territory, space, building and, above all, as a place for isolating people deprived of liberty, is an area with extremely impressive interconnectedness. The book is dedicated to rehabilitation practitioners, educators, sociologists and employees and officers of the prison Service. Perhaps the probation officers, social workers or historians will reach for it. Of course, the addressees of the publication may also be students of pedagogy, sociology, psychology and law, as well as those who are interested in penitentiary issues."

The multi-threaded idea of this publication in principle meant that the authors invited to this publishing prepared various articles focused on prison as a place associated with the penalty, opportunity, transformation, social security, prison Service, and even a characteristic structure. It is also the area that brings together the representatives of various scientific disciplines. Each author, using their own scientific experience, looked at the prison precisely as if it were through a magnifying glass or prism that combines colourful threads.
