The Academy of Justice is the organiser of further training for Prison Service officers who are responsible for monitoring the establishment.
Owing to the necessity of improving security of the correctional establishments, as well as the recent demand for further training of the Prison Service officers responsible for monitoring the establishment, the Academy of Justice has prepared and launched a series of trainings in the form of further training. Improving the professional skills of officers, in particular dealing with emergencies, recognising signals in the behaviour of inmates and coping with the psycho-physical burden, are the main training objectives dedicated to this group of officers.
Pilot penitentiary complexes
The training is provided as part of the project called “Pilot penitentiary complexes” within the scope of “Justice” operational program, financed by Norwegian funds and national resources.
Training timeframes
From July to October 2021, 540 PS officers from all the establishments in Poland will have been trained. The classes are carried out by the lecturers of the Academy of Justice, psychologists and security educators, with the participation of the security experts from the District Inspectorates of the Prison Service.
