Polish-Norwegian seminar

On 7-9 February 2022, a Polish-Norwegian seminar organised within Module 2 called ‘Modernisation of the Prison Service Training System’ implemented under the project called ‘Pilot penitentiary complexes’ funded by the Norwegian Financial mechanism 2014-2021 took place at the Academy of Justice.

The meetings were attended by representatives of the University College of Norwegian Correctional Service (KRUS): Kristina Lægreid, Ole Stageberg and Sven-Erik Skotte, representatives of the Ministry of Justice Department of European Strategy and Funds: Mrs Monika Żuberek – Deputy Director, and Tomasz Gajewski – Head of the Norwegian Financial mechanism and Technical Assistance Department, as well as the Academy representatives -  members of the team responsible for the project.

During the seminar, the results of the research already carried out in the project, the different stages of implementation and other forms of cooperation, such as including remote training, which could be launched in the future were discussed. The agenda also involved a point devoted to presenting the idea of complementary education, which is spread in the prison staff training system.
